Jimmy Hernández Marcelo

Jimmy Hernández Marcelo studied Philosophy at the Pontifical University of Salamanca (Bachelor and Master). He is a Ph.D. graduate in Philosophy from the University of Salamanca (Spain) and the University of Turin (Italy). He was a visiting researcher at the University of Paris 1, the Catholic University of Louvain, the University of Coimbra, the Husserl Archives of the University of Freiburg, the Husserl Archives of the University of Cologne and at the University of Bonn.
Since September 2018, he has been a professor of theoretical philosophy at the University of Salamanca (Spain). He is a member of the Center for Ontology of the University of Turin (Labont) where he is developing his post-doctoral research on New Realism under the supervision of Maurizio Ferraris. He has published several articles on the origins of Phenomenology and contemporary French philosophy. He has translated writings of Edmund Husserl, Jean Héring, Jocelyn Benoist, Sylvain Camilleri, and Jacques Derrida among others. He is also a collaborating member of the Centre for Phenomenological Studies (CEP) of the Catholic University of Leuven.
