Project Reciprocity

The relationship between nature, public spaces and individuals in urban areas, sustainable tourism, gentrification, housing crisis, community engagement are the themes at the heart of Reciprocity. Ideated by the visual artist Eva Frapiccini, and promoted by Print Club Torino, Reciprocity proposes a collective reflection on the themes of the European program “Just Transition” through a multidisciplinary and generative approach.

Friday 20th September 2024, will be dedicated to rethinking urban green areas and beyond as indispensable resources to combat the effects of climate change (temperature rise, drought, etc.), in the context of the city of Turin. From 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., it will take place four thematic tables featuring scientific contributions from Elena Casetta (LabOnt – Laboratory of Ontology of the University of Turin), Manuela Ronci (FULL – Future Urban Legacy Lab of the Politecnico di Torino), Alessandro Tempia Valenta (Urban Lab), Ilaria Reposo and Fabio Guida (Graphic Days), Chiara Quinzii (Quinzii Terna Architecture), Stefano Olivari (Orti Generali), Paola Borrione (Fondazione Santagata) and Claudio Marciano (University of Genoa, Forwardto). Then, it will follow the silk-printing workshop aimed at the realization of the artwork by Eva Frapiccini in collaboration with and in the lab of Print Club Torino.

On Saturday 21st September 2024, the theme of sustainable living will be addressed through the right to housing, co-housing and urban policies. The speakers of the day include: Silvia Cafora and Erica Mangione (FULL – Politecnico di Torino), Tiziana Andina and Carlo Genova (LabOnt – University of Turin), Karl Krähmer (Fondazione Porta Palazzo), Aurelio Balestra (Toolbox Coworking),  Francesca Bragaglia (FULL  – Politecnico di Torino), Libia Castro (artist), Gemma Medina (Arte Útil), Carlos Sanjuan and Alicia Carrió (Casa Invisible).
