WEBFARE introduces an innovative way to value user-generated data as human heritage and provides an alternative to the dominance of commercial platforms that profit from data. It challenges their exclusive exploitation and is in line with EU regulations that give users rights to their data. The project aims to revolutionize the current landscape by enabling a fair distribution of benefits and promoting social empowerment and the humanitarian use of data. To achieve this
goal, WEBFARE is being developed in collaboration with Cassa Centrale Banca, the largest Italian cooperative bank, to strengthen a positive partnership cycle between academic research and industrial reality.
