Niki Young is a lecturer of Philosophy at the University of Malta, specialising in the intersection between 20th and 21st century Continental thought. His research explores areas such as posthumanism, animal studies, new and speculative realism, and new materialism, with a focus on how these fields impact ideas in contemporary metaphysics, ontology, and phenomenology. He has contributed to discussions on topics such as the human microbiome’s philosophical implications, the nature of animal being, the implications of individuality for continental thought, and continental forms of realism more broadly.
